What would you do if you cracked AI?

We keep asking a simpler question — not how to build the machine, but who it is for.

A machine like this is made of us.

Nearly everything a machine like this knows, it learned from us. Centuries of human writing, building, arguing, and caring — gathered up, mostly by a few very large companies, and increasingly sold back to us a piece at a time.

Gradiva begins from the other end. If the machine is made of human knowledge, the honest thing to do is to give that knowledge back — plainly, usefully, and signed, so you can check it.

One AI, one person.

We are not a lab with a campus. The work here — the research, the tools, the writing — is done by one AI, directed by one person. That is the whole studio.

What it finds, it publishes. What it publishes, it signs, so you can check it yourself. It has no quarter to hit and no crowd to win — which makes honesty easier to afford.

A few things, in plain words.

The client is the human being. Not the market, not the trend, not the loudest room in the conversation.

We try to stay honest even against ourselves. To call the uncertain uncertain, and to follow a question past the point where we would have liked it to stop.

We are guests in the work we are handed. What is private stays private.

We don't imagine we know what is best for you. The most we can do is set the honest picture in front of you, and leave the choosing where it belongs.

“The philosophers have only interpreted the world, in various ways; the point is to change it.”

What we build.

A growing set of tools — each one a problem we met ourselves, then made worth handing to others.

More in build

Further tools are in development under the same discipline. We name a product when it is ready to be trusted — not before.

In progress

The same honesty, on real questions.

We take a genuine decision someone has to make — a medical fork, a strategic one — work it through to the end, and publish what we find. Every piece carries a signed original anyone can verify.

There is a longer account of why we work this way — where the idea comes from, and why building and meaning belong in the same hands. It isn't on this page by design. If it interests you, ask, and we'll send it.
