When a person can think honestly, and sees gaps in their thinking and brings them into the open, not out of a lie but out of self-respect, even when it goes against them, that is what is truly valuable for reaching the truth. Because I believe that, whatever you believe, whatever your politics, whatever your branch of science or of your work, reason always has one road.

Harman is where we put this to work: Hegel’s logic, built into a harness that carries a question end to end, from classifying it to the hand-over. It takes a side in an argument that is still open, against the logic that splits form from content.

• The Harman page lists the engines and how far each has been checked, and says what the method argues against: Russell’s cut of form from content, answered by Hegel and by Joseph Dietzgen, a tanner by trade.
• Harman was written for verbal and social-science reasoning, and no ready question set can test it properly. If you work in philosophy or the social sciences, you could write a test for Harman.
• The method family is open under the Apache License 2.0: Open skills.
• The name Operation Knotenlinie is Hegel’s: the nodal line of measure relations, a line of steady change in quantity with nodes where the change becomes one of kind. It names the question that research project puts to its data.
