Why Gradiva will also invest in art, and the careers page for film, acting and screenwriting.
In the school at the New Lanark cotton mill, the workers’ children learned to sing and dance as well as nature study, geography and history. Robert Owen had put the mill’s earnings into the lives of the people there. In the manifesto I wrote that I want to be a modern Robert Owen: this work should have a meaning, otherwise the numbers that go up and down in bank accounts have no meaning. That is why Gradiva will also invest in art with the money it earns. It is one of the company’s main goals. The stage and the screen are part of that road, and I would like to set out on it by meeting you.

The careers page
Among the fields on the application form are film (directing, cinematography, editing, sound), acting and screenwriting.
Answer in the language of your own craft, in your own way. Length and form are up to you.
I had never seen a set of questions suited to communicating with AI; the questions on [the careers page] are different for exactly that reason. If someone is really going to communicate with AI, they first need to know how it thinks. The interesting part is that the same questions hold for filmmakers too. I think the reason is that both are in direct contact with human consciousness. Perhaps that is why the fields that most need to master context are cinema and AI. But the point is not only to master context; it is also to know whether you can: if the context is not in your hands, can you gather it, or should you speculate?
